****** CUPCAKEFEST TOTALS ******
We are SO HAPPY to announce that Cupcakefest 2012 raised a total of __$7700__ for the Bloomfield Animal Shelter and the NJSPCA. This total includes money earned from raffle tickets, the cupcake eating contest, drinks, chips, and poop bags sold as well as monetary donations and pet supplies donated. 

In addition, we will continue adding to this total by selling drinks, chips, and poop bags at our shop. 

We will post regularly with updates!

We cannot thank you all enough for your support at this event. This was our biggest year yet as far as attendees and money raised. Thank you!

*** CUPCAKE EATING CONTEST DETAILS ***

The 2012 Cupcakefest cupcake eating contest will begin at 5pm this Saturday (June 23rd). All participants must arrive at 4:30pm at the very latest. 

We will be accepting _10_ participants in total. Sign up begins now. Entry fee is $25 (CASH ONLY) with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Bloomfield Animal Shelter / John A. Bukowski Shelter for… and the NJ SPCA. We will probably still have slots available the day of Cupcakefest 2012, but if you are interested, we recommend signing up as soon as possible.

The rules are very simple - the first person to eat _10_ cupcakes wins. Participants will be able to keep any cupcakes they do not eat. Cupcakes will be vegan, but not gluten-free/soy-free.

The winner will receive bragging rights, a Sweet Avenue gift certificate, and an awesome cupcake tote bag FILLED to the brim with donated goodies (t-shirts, coupons, etc.)

******* EXCITING NEWS *******

A very generous anonymous Yankees fan has donated a pack of FOUR New York Mets tickets to be raffled off at Cupcakefest 2012!!! The tickets are FOUR rows back from the Mets dugout and include a parking pass. These tickets are for the September 7th game vs. the Atlanta Braves! The face value for the whole package is almost $500!

Please spread the word!!!

**** VOLUNTEERS WANTED FOR Cupcakefest 2012 ****

We’re going to need volunteers to help out at Cupcakefest. We’ll be needing people for:

1. Carrying raffle prizes to the park from our shop (just down the block) and setting up table, chairs, and canopies at the park before Cupcakefest begins

2. Staffing a table to sell chips/drinks/etc with proceeds benefiting the NJ SPCA and Bloomfield Animal Shelter / John A. Bukowski Shelter for…

3. Assist the NJSPCA and Bloomfield Animal Shelter with various tasks at their tables, if needed. Also any other errands that come up during the day (running out to get ice, carrying extra drinks/chips/etc back and forth)

4. Clean up crew at the end of the even (around 7pm)

And lastly, any photographers and videographers who would be willing to take some photos and footage of the bands and event for us to use. These photos and videos help us show off the event in future years to recruit new sponsors and bands in order to make Cupcakefest even bigger every year.
